When a new vulnerability becomes known, like the one in PHP at the end of October, everyone has to update within a few hours. That is exactly when attackers strike.

Custos recognises break-in attempts, blocks bots after a few tries, stops logins with stolen passwords and checks every uploaded file for viruses. You decide who gets in, for example only from the Netherlands or only after logging in. Attackers don't even see that there is protection; your customers and staff notice nothing.

Your application doesn't need to change. We update one record in your domain name and within 24 hours all traffic runs through Custos. In your own dashboard you see what was blocked and where it came from.

An example. On 25 August, one computer spent more than three hours searching 2,312 locations on a customer's website for forgotten files containing passwords. After a few attempts Custos locked the sender out. Not a single attempt reached the website, and nobody had to get out of bed.

When a new vulnerability appears, your door is already shut, so you update your software calmly while your locations and shops keep working. A day of downtime easily costs tens of thousands of euros.

To be fair: Custos does not replace updating your software. It works best for applications with a fixed group of users, such as internal systems and customer portals. For a fully public website it mainly stops bots, overload and suspicious behaviour.
